Privacy Policy

1. Summary

FloatOver has no user account, advertising or analytics. NLdev does not operate an application server and does not receive media information, notification contents, usage history, location or device identifiers from the app. Information needed for the floating controls is processed on the device.

2. Media and notification access

Android calls the required system setting “Notification access.” FloatOver uses this access only to connect to the highest-priority active Android media session. It processes the available track title, artist, playback state, duration and position in memory so it can display and operate the controls. This information is not transmitted by FloatOver and is discarded when it is no longer needed.

Although Android's notification-listener permission is broad, FloatOver does not store, transmit or use notification contents for advertising, profiling or analytics.

3. Other permissions

• Display over other apps: used only to show the user-started movable control panel.
• Notifications: used only for the persistent Android foreground-service notification shown while the control panel is running. FloatOver does not send marketing notifications.
• Internet: used only to communicate with Google Play Billing for product details, purchase, confirmation and restoration.

4. Purchases

Purchases are processed by Google Play under Google's terms and privacy policy. FloatOver receives the product and purchase status needed to unlock or restore lifetime access. The app does not receive payment-card or bank-account details, and NLdev does not receive purchase information on its own server.

5. Information stored on the device

FloatOver stores the panel position, whether the notification permission was previously requested, recovery state for damaged local settings, and a local record that lifetime access was confirmed. Android's recorded first-install time is read to calculate the 14-day trial. App backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled.

6. Retention and deletion

Media-session information is retained only in memory while needed. Local settings remain until the user clears FloatOver's app data or uninstalls the app. NLdev has no FloatOver account or application-server profile to delete. A Google Play purchase remains associated with the user's Google Play account under Google's policies and can be restored after reinstallation.

7. Security

Local settings are held in Android's private app storage and are excluded from backup. Billing communication is handled by Google Play. Because NLdev does not receive application data on its own server, it does not maintain a remote FloatOver user database.

8. Website hosting

This public policy website is hosted by Firebase Hosting, a Google service. When a browser visits the website, Google may process ordinary technical request information such as an Internet Protocol address, browser information, requested URL and time of access to deliver and protect the site. FloatOver does not use website analytics, advertising cookies or tracking scripts.

9. Children

FloatOver is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes and contact

If FloatOver's data handling changes, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before the changed version is released. Questions may be sent to floatoverapp@gmail.com.
